Nail Art: Spring Design

Until really recently, I knew nothing about Nail Art. I suppose I had seen it somewhere, but it didn’t enter my consciousness. I don’t know what caused me to take notice now. But suddenly I found myself googling “Nail Art” and “Nail Art Designs”. The next time I went to town, I bought a bunch of different colours of polishes. And a few colours of liners (which I had never heard of before) and I started watching You Tube videos and Pinning pictures of Nail Art that i like and eventually, painting designs on my nails.

This is not my first Nail Art Design (although I will probably be posting those sometime soon), but it is the first one that I consider to be “my own design”. As is obvious, it was inspired by the heliconia plant that i just discovered.

Bit by bit, the design matured during the week. Until I ended up with this:

I’ve decided to call this design “Eostre’s Nails” in commemoration of the season. This is not the final design … the base colour is still not right, and I want to do the design better (I’ve learned how to do ant’s legs from the next photo!)
